In which our wine is born, lovingly cared for by the land, the climate and the hand of Man. Rich, fertile alluvial soils near the valley floor, rough and stony on the gentle slopes which run along the sides. Nature has bestowed a diversity which enriches the growing of vines. A mixture of Atlantic and Mediterranean climates, a place where the best possible conditions for growing the vine converge. The altitude of 440 metres above sea level, low rainfall, man, the tradition of centuries, all contribute to make us one of the most important wine-making areas in the world. And this, our valley, is the source of our quality. And on the way along the road towards Clavijo, in Alberite to be exact, you will find the Criadores de Rioja winery. |
